How to Copy Data from on field to another? Complex?
All,
Here is what I am trying to do: 1) If an Asterisk is in a certian field, if I put numbers in one field, and I want them copied automatically to another field. Then if I put numbers in the next field I want those numbers copied to the next available empty column. 2) If I move the Asterisk to a different filed, I want the process to do the same thing, with a different set of fields. The easiest example I can give of how this could work is imagine a Football Team with 2 QB's. If the Asterisk is in QB1's column and I put data in for a receiver somewhere else in the spreadsheet, I want it also copied to the QB. If I then move the * to the other QB I want subsequent data that is entered for receivers to be added to the QB2 info? Is this possible in excel, and how would I do it? Thanks! |
