Formula for a date's week number in a month (1st, 2nd, etc.)
i.e. If today is 3/10/06, it falls in the 2nd week of March. Is there a way
to calculate this in a formula? (Also, will there a be a problem where a date like 3/1/06 falls under the week 5 of February as wells as week 1 of March?) |

Hi Charles,
It is going to depend on what day of the week you your weeks start on. If you are in the US it starts on Sunday. Worksheet Functions For Dates And Times http://www.cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeWS.htm#NthDoWYear look at the last example. It would be for the US. Not what you are looking for, but has some similar things Date Calculations http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/datecalc.htm --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Charles" wrote in message ... i.e. If today is 3/10/06, it falls in the 2nd week of March.
