refreshing cells?
i have created some calculations involving other cells, something simple like
C1=A1+B1. suddenly excel won't automatically refresh the C1 if i change A1 or B1. i have to edit the cell (hit F2) and then enter to refresh each one manually in order for the changes to take affect. there are also linked cells in the workbook that are linked to external files that i do not want to update. is there a way to make a selection of cells and refresh those calculations without messing with the externally linked cells? thanks in advance ~j |
refreshing cells?
Hi
Go to Tools/Options/Calculation tab and make sure Automatic is selected. This will set all cells to calculate 'on the fly'. I don't know of a way to disable the externally-linked cells. Andy.
