Default sort by groups in excel

I have a very large wkst in which I need to creat sub-total type cells but by
date. I then need to sort these sub-cells without losing the original line
information. Any ideas?

Stacey,

Without knowing what the data looks like, I would probably use a PivotTable.

If you need to "group" your date, (by month, year, etc.) check out Debra
Dalgleish's site he http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot07.html
