protecting a file from deletion
 

I am saving some excel files on a public network and i want to know is there
a way of protection a file so as it cannot be deleted without the use of
passwords? I need other user to read and edit the worksheets but need the
secuity of knowing that they cannot be deleted.

This is not an Excel function.

It is a function of your operating system and file and folder permissions.

If running a Windows-NT-based system see help and support on "permissions".
