Excel Maximum size ?
I am running a Stock Control system created in Excel with VLookup /
calculations and links that is currently 66Mb file size. I am worried that I may run into difficulties with such large Excel files? Is excel stable with calculating on such file sizes ? Running Excel 2000 (Windows 2000) |
Excel Maximum size ?
In my experience, Excel is very stable, even with large file sizes. The Microsoft link below relates to Excel's limits, but doesn't mention file size. I imagine it depends on system resources and/or available memory. I haven't managed to crash a workbook yet. The large ones can get a bit slow on calculations, but I've never had one fail. I'd say you're pretty safe. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...992911033.aspx -- random1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ random1970's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32112 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=519284 |
