ok, thanks for that, area under curve is the same as energy? i have x values (time) and y values (power),so i can use the trapezoid rule to get the area ? or do i need to use integration ?? abit confused here! -- toffee_pie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toffee_pie's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31944 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=516666 |

Hey! this is an Excel site!! (grin)
Energy is Integral of <power * d(time) A definite integral is the area under a curve. I think you need to do a little reading. Is this a homework assignment? all the best -- Bernard V Liengme (ex-professor) www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "toffee_pie" wrote in message ... ok, thanks for that, area under curve is the same as energy? i have x values (time) and y values (power),so i can use the trapezoid rule to get the area ? or do i need to use integration ?? abit confused here! -- toffee_pie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toffee_pie's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31944 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=516666 |
how do i calculate energy consumed in excel?
hi bud, its a final year uni proj! well, i have most of the work done, im working on power consumption of wireless sensore networks, and a 25mm mote we developed. so basically, i have alot of data, like power, time, current. etc. so i would like to plot energy vs time, for particular settings, like 0dBm, 20dBm, etc. so i will have time going from say, 0 to 30 mins, and also power going from 0 to 30 mins. i integrate the power all the way down?! just not much good with excel really...... -- toffee_pie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toffee_pie's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31944 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=516666 |
