I know how to tell the size of excell document but is there a way to tell the
size of each tab?

Do you mean the memory used by each tab? If so, the answer is no.

yes - I do mean the memory. I was wondering which tab is eating up all the
memory---too bad!!

copy each worksheet to a new workbook (single sheet only). Save each workbook.

You could get a gross estimate of which was the big eater by looking at the file
size.
