Default Formula Indicator?

For many years Lotus 1-2-3 has had a feature which allows you to see
at a glance which cells in a spreadsheet have numbers typed in and
which ones are the results of a formula. The cells with formulas will
have a small grey dot in the lower left hand corner to indicate that
the contents of the cell are not the same as the value of the cell. My
question is, does Excel has a similar feature? I realize I could turn
on the formula view or whatever it's called to see the actual formula
in each cell instead of the result, but I merely want to know which
cells contain a formula, I don't need to see what the formula is.

Thanks,

John W.
