How would you convert a spreadsheet from:

House
Car
Boat

to : House Car Boat

Try this:

Select the vertical range of cells
EditCopy

Select the upper left corner cell of the destination
EditPaste Special Check: Transpose
Click the [OK] button

Default How do you convert a list that runs vertically to horizoontally?

Copy the data you wish to transpose, then click EDIT in the menu, select
PASTE SPECIAL and check off the TRANSPOSE check box.

Highlight your range of data
COPY
Select the first cell of your new range (cannot overlap with old range)
PASTE SPECIAL
Click the box for "Transpose"
Click OK
Delete your old data
