Can this be solved? or am i dealing with circular reasoning?
Hey all, short time lurker first time poster. :) i have been asked to create a quick spreadsheet that calculates the required mixing weight of two ingredients based on moisture content(%). Knowns: Total Finished Weight (kgs - assuming no loss) Total moisture content (% - again assuming no loss) Ingredient 1 moisture content (%) Ingredient 2 moisture content (%) Unknowns: Weight of ingredient 1 (kgs) Weight of ingredient 2 (kgs) Formula assumptions: Total Finished Weight = sum of ingredient weights Total Moisture = (ingredient 1 weight * Ingredient 1 moisture) + (ingredient 2 weight * Ingredient 2 moisture) Everytime i come up with a viable equation it ends up either referencing itself or the unknown weight of the other ingredient. Anyhelp with the equation or on getting excel to calculate in a circular fashion would be greatly appreciated. Solved! Had an error in one of my assumptions. -- Nietz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nietz's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31605 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=512989 |
