Default I want Excel to stop auto-moving my cursor when I hit enter.

(Excel 2003) I have set the cursor to move "down" when I hit enter. But
Excel keeps trying to figure out where I want the cursor to be and sometimes
moves 3 or 4 spaces over, depending on where the other entries on the page
is. How do I turn off the auto feature? Thanks.
