Why is this printing
 

I have a situation where I've set both the shading and font color of a group
of cells to the same shade of light grey. This is because I know that these
cells will link to other cells with 0 values, and I don't want the 0's to
print. (They don't affect any formulas and to remove the links would require
redefining dozens of blocks referenced in macros.)

On the screen, these cells appear to be empty with nothing in them. However,
when I print, I see all the 0's on the printed page. If anyone could explain
to me why this is happening it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
