Can envelopes be printed directly from data in a Excel Spreadsheet
I know how to do a mail merge from MS Word and I know how to do a mail merge
with Excel data, but several people have asked me whether it is possible to print envelopes directly from a spreadsheet. I don't know if this is possible and if it is, could you please tell me what the procedure is? Thank you. Query Lady |

I wouldn't do it.
I would think you'd have to experiment to get the addresses in the correct spot for the type of envelope that you're using. Then after that, you could make your data look like envelopes--or you could create one worksheet that looked like an envelope and use a macro to populate the cells on that sheet, print, and get the next address (repeat as required). But it seems like a waste of time when MSWord has that stuff built into it. Maybe it's a learning issue for the other people. If they know more about how mail merge works, maybe they'll use it. Here are a couple of links: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/mailmerg.htm http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MailMerge The first is from David McRitchie and the second is by Beth Melton and Dave Rado.
