I trying to create a work sheet that only allows a user to choose an option from a drop down menu once, after that I would like it to be locked, does any one know if this is possible. Depends on how you made the dropdown box and what version of excel you're using.
Did you use Data|Validation, a dropdown from the Forms toolbar or a combobox from the control toolbox toolbar? If you used xl97 and data|validation, where was the list--typed into the data|validation dialog or on another sheet. alexandra60 wrote: I trying to create a work sheet that only allows a user to choose an option from a drop down menu once, after that I would like it to be locked, does any one know if this is possible. I'm using excel 2000, and I created the Combo Box using the Forms tool bar. The combo box is working but I would like other users to be able to choose one option but not be able to change it if someone has already chosen an option. Its for a diary on our network, so that people can request a day off. With the way things are at the moment I can't trust anyone lol. -- alexandra60 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ alexandra60's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31215 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=508881 |
