How do I get more columns in a pivot table?

When I am trying to create a pivot table, I have about 16 colums of data that
range from data and colums that have numbers.

I do get a popup error telling to delete one or two columns of data to make
the pivot table work.

Is there a limited number of columns that a pivot table can use?
