Password protection of Folder
Sorry, no.
Even making a file "read-only" is akin to putting up a "No trespassing" sign. Anybody can tear it down and march right in. The real security is at the network permissions level and is implemented by network admins. You might, however, ask for full-control rights on specific folders. With those rights, you would have permission to determine who can access the folders. Does that help? *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP-Pro "Raj Mazumdar" wrote: No way that I could do it myself, eh, Ron? Something like just adding a "confidential/No access" property to the folder, just as we add a "read-only" attribute to a file? Thanks Raj "Ron Coderre" wrote: Access to the folder will be dependent on the logged-in user. You'll need to contact your network administrator with a list of the permissions you are seeking. I need to "password protect" this folder so that no one else except me has access to this folder or even read/write/copy/delete any files contained in it... not even a read-only is allowed. Possible?
