Place picture behind text
In Excel X for Mac: Need to place picture behind text (in cells, no textbox), WITHOUT making picture "Background" (via Format-Sheet command). Any ideas? -- frivoniss ------------------------------------------------------------------------ frivoniss's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31104 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=507717 |
Place picture behind text
In all versions of XL (Win and Mac), pictures reside in the drawing
layer *above* the cells. They can't be placed in cells, which can contain only values or formulae. One technique is to place the picture above the cells, then increase the transparancy. Another method is to use the camera tool to take a linked picture of the cells, format the picture with a no-fill background, then place the desired "background" picture above the cells, then locate the cell picture in front of the other picture.
