pasting data on hidden cells
 

i am pasting data from one sheet to another sheet where i have some hidden
cells as well. But when i paste the data, it is pasted on hidden cells as
well. Is there a way to avoide this so that i should not paste data on hidden
cells???

copy and paste in chunks--so you only past to visible cells.

This is what i am doing but this is not the proper way. This is a very little
thing and i don't know why it is not there. We should be able to just select
the cells and lock them for editing. Why there is a lock option if it can't
be used for this purpose???
Pasting chunks is very much time wasting.
