Unable to start my Excel files
One of my users have this odd issue with his Excel 2003. He's unable to start
the files directly but instead he must start a blank excel sheet then open his files from there. Is there a solution to this issue? Please advise. Thanks! Dell 170L P4 800mghz 1gbram Windows XP Pro SP2 Office 2003 SP2 |

Just to add, did some further investigation on this and it turns out that
only the user's profile in having this difficulty. I've managed to open the very same files under my own profile with no problems so that file itself is not corrupted. Thanks. Well it seems like we've resolved this issue ourselves.
It just a matter of unchecking an option in Excel and that triggered the files to start up again by itself. Resolved! Sometimes one of these works:
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults.
