Auto Worksheet
Hey Guys and Gals I having just finished my latest Excel project and am just trying to make it a little more user friendly. I have two worksheets one called Names and one called SYA. A1 to A30 in Names are a list of names Is it possible to have some sort of function that will copy worksheet SYA for every name that appears in A1 to A30? Hello superkopite, Your description about what is to be copied is pretty vague. Can you post an example or better describe what will be done with the sheet SYA? You can do this with Programming, using an Advanced Filter. There's a
sample file he http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html Under Filters, look for 'Update Sheets from Master' superkopite wrote: Hey Guys and Gals I having just finished my latest Excel project and am just trying to make it a little more user friendly. Auto Worksheet
Hiya Leith What it is, is worksheet SYA contains a 52 rota that tracks an employees attendance record. I an identical worksheet for each member of staff. As ia m going to be giving this to mutliple departments, all the staff members will be different and to be honest the IT skills of the various departments are laughable. So for them to Copy worksheet SYA and then rename it to the names of those in their department is nigh on impossible. So what i would like to do is whenever a name is entered in the name colloum of worksheet "Names" a copy of worksheet SYA would be created for that individual, what would be even better would be if the copied worksheet could be renamed automatically to whatever name is in the "name" field. To be honest i have no idea whatsoever if this can be done on not. I hope i have explained myself a little better, your help is very much appreiciated.
