IF function
 

Is there a limit to the number of logical IF-THEN statements you can use in
one cell? I'm trying to use 12 in one cell. If there is a limit, is there a
work around?

I believe the max level of nesting is 7. Alternatives: CHOOSE or VLOOKUP.

I believe that the limit for an embedded if function is 7, but I am not
sure about that. However, I can tell you that there is definitely a
limit.

Hello Shannon,

Excel allows you to nest a maximum of 7 IF...THEN statements. You
might try splitting your results using multiple cells as an option or
write a VBA macro.
