Default Excel Help

We use an Active Directory Domain running windows 2000. We have a policy
setup to not allow any program to run unless it is in the list within the
policy. With that said, we are trying to use MS Office Excel 2003 help and
are running into a problem. I have allowd the use of *.chm (compiled html)
however the articles and demos within the help still do not work. Does
anybody know of the files i will need to allow or what i can do to fix this
issue?

Thanks,

Wayne

Why not just ask your question here?

If you are connected the web you are prone to violations regardless.

If the Active Directory Domain is a "closed" network that is specific to
users only you do nt need to have that "policy." If there are no usb ports or
floppy drives, CD Roms in the users computers and they are not connected to
the internet then there is no need for the policy as the administrator would
be the only computer with those facilities.

PS

Excel 2003 requires at least XP. This is probably where your problem lies.

Due to audit restrictions that have been set by the SAS 70 audit we are
unable to get rid of this policy. All of my users computers have cdroms,
access to the local disk, etc. so we need to lock it down by application.
