friend sent cd with spreadsheet data using office 2003 excel and I need to
load it to my (c:) on xp 2002 excel How do I get this done

If indeed you have excel 2002 you can just copy it over to your hd and open
it, if not you need to get any version of excel or the excel viewer (go to
MS and search for excel viewer) or download open office or a trial version
of office
