Valid formula result in Function Box but Cell displays #VALUE
 

I am using the XIRR function with a complex series of dates and cash flows.
The function returns #VALUE, but when I look in the formula box, it indicates
a numerical formula result that makes sense. Why is this happening and how
do I get the number to show up in the cell?
