Opening workbooks
If opening and closing a workbook on a shared drive takes a very long time, would it help to make each worksheet in the workbook separate workbooks? -- calimari ------------------------------------------------------------------------ calimari's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=24537 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=504243 |

No.
For best speed first copy the file to your local drive before openning it. When done, save it back on the local drive and, if necessary, copy it back to the the network drive. -- Gary's Student "calimari" wrote: If opening and closing a workbook on a shared drive takes a very long time, would it help to make each worksheet in the workbook separate workbooks? -- calimari ------------------------------------------------------------------------ calimari's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=24537 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=504243 |
