Move multiple rows of data that are not sequential
How do I move multiple rows of data that are not sequential - I want to move
row 1, 15, and 23 for example - how can I select and move multiple things at one time? In another way, I have data on multiple rows with multiple columns and I need all of the data on one row - how can I do that without cutting and pasting each individual row? |
Move multiple rows of data that are not sequential
Hi Mel,
I presume you tried to copy discontiguous rows and were told by Excel that you can't. You can't do what you are asking for now either. You can move your rows one at a time (sorting might be easier, if that is an option). You can move a row by selecting the row, grab the boundary with Shift and drag to where you want it. http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/fillhand.htm#mouse --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Mel" wrote in message ...
