Default When running a SAP report Excel will only display results if Excel isn't already open

Hi,

Many of my users seem to have a problem with SAP reports not displaying
if Excel 2003 is already open when running a report from SAP Business
Warehouse software.

When they run a SAP report it should open an Excel window and display
the results. However if Excel is already open then nothing happens. If
Excel is closed before the report is run then Excel will launch and
display results successfully.

Is there any known solution for this behaviour other than closing Excel
first?

Thanks for your help.
