Excel should be able to default to a degree mode
Excel by default considers all degree arguments to be in radians. My work in
medical optics requires working in ordinary degrees. It is very cumbersome and prone to error to convert every degree argument from radians to degrees. It would be very convenient if one could specify the default calculation mode for any given spread sheet as either radians or degrees. This arose when I was trying to construct a spreadsheet that had to manipulate the sine of an angle and realized that the answer given assumed the angle was in radians and not standard degrees. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
