In desperate need of help....
 

Hello there,

I am writing to you in the hope you can help me resolve a database
issue I am currently having. It is quite urgent and ideally needs to be
resolved ASAP. Please find attached an MS Excel file with a sample my
database on sheet1 and the desired outcome on sheet2.

Basically, my database has around 20,000 items on it, many of which are
duplicates and I need the file to be altered so that each title is only
listed once, but the quanity figure amended accordingly. Also, our
reference number is stored within the 'item-note' column. It is vital
that for each title, we have all the reference numbers for all copies
in this column.

I hope this helps explains our problem and the demo attached shows you
what we're after.

Sounds like a similar problem to mine!!!

I'm hoping that by looking at your spreadsheet I might be able to find
a olution for us both (I've come to a dead end on mine at the moment)
