Default protection of worksheet

Currently I have a time sheet that is protected and shared so everyone
can log on and insert their work times.

The sheet works fine, but when I need to add new sheets for new
employees the cut and paste function does not work, because the
formating is changed and the spacing is incorrect.

Is there anyway to copy and paste new sheets, without having to
turn-off the protection and sharing of the document???
