Turn off click and drag in Excel???

Using Excel 2003. I did some key stroke (I thought I was doing Ctrl+1 --
guess not) and now if I click anywhere within excel, with either my left or
right mouse buttons, it acts like I am clicking-and-dragging and nothing I do
can turn off the dragging. I have to exit the program by closing from the
task bar!

None of my other office products have this behavior. Any ideas? I went
through the entire list of keyboard shortcuts and all I could think of in the
help section but I just can't figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Turn off click and drag in Excel???

Someone else had this problem a couple of days ago ...
If you look in the status bar, toward the right hand end, you'll
probably see "EXT".
If so hit F8 to turn it off, and your problem should disappear.
Let me know if that works.

Turn off click and drag in Excel???

Thanks for the tip. I think it reset itself??? I had closed and opened,
turned off and on multiple times yesterday to no avail. Doing so once more
this morning everything is back to normal, so I didn't need to try out your
suggestion. Thank you very much!!
