Default Should I generally request "post a poll" when I post a new thread?

Should I generally request "post a poll" when I post a new thread
(ie) what does posting a poll do?

Regarding your question...search the excelforum FAQ for "post a poll",
it will explain your options.

(An aside: In case you didn't know....the www.excelforum.com posts are
interfaced to the microsoft.public.excel newsgroups...so when that
forum sees your post they won't have any idea what you're asking about
because they don't see the "post a poll" option. Likewise, the
excelforum doesn't offer a way to rate the posts on the
microsoft.public.excel forums.)

Does that help?

Regards,
Ron
