How to add a Comment for entire Column
 

Can not fiquor out how to add a comment to an entire column.
I know it can be done as the person before me has done so, and I need to
create a new spreadsheet so that when someone scolls over a certain column it
pops up with instructions of what is needed to be in that column.
I hope someone can help me..............I know it is a simple process but I
am bogged down with alot of crap right now and can not rremember how.
Help PLEASE!

Hi Cynthia

One method is to use Data / Validation
- Select the range that you want to put the message on
- choose Data / Validation from the menu
- Click on the input message tab
- ensure "Show input message when cell is selected" is checked
- Type a heading into the Title field
- Type the message into the body area
(must fill in both, if i remember correctly)
- Click on the OK button
