Apply Validation on a protected sheet
 

Hi all,

How can I set the worksheet protection in such a way that users can apply
his own validation on unlocked cells of a protected sheet? When a sheet is
protected for contents, the Data | Validation command is dimmed even though
an unlocked cell is selected.

I am using Excel XP.
