Confusion.....
When I open a .csv file with Excel 2002, SP3, I see:
="2005-10-20" in the fomula bar when I am on cell B2. A different user of the same file, running the same version of Excel sees: 2005-10-20 in the formula bar of cell B2. Why the difference ? Thanks !! |
Confusion.....
Before I'd guess, I'd like to know what's actually in the .CSV file.
If you open the .csv file in NotePad, what do you see? Eric @ CMN, Evansville wrote: When I open a .csv file with Excel 2002, SP3, I see: ="2005-10-20" in the fomula bar when I am on cell B2. Confusion.....
When I opened the file with notepad, I saw:
="2005-10-20" which makes me wonder if the other person I talked to misunderstood me, and didn't look at the file the same way I did. I'll have to talk with them some more. Since the csv file is a system generated one, I may be able to get our MIS group to modify the file, or create a separate one just for my use. Thanks.
