anytime I enter a 16 digit number into a cell, it always changes the last

Precede with an apostrophe ' or format as text, sounds as you are entering a
credit card number or some sort of account number, excel has only 15 digits precision so you need text for this -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Jordan" wrote in message ... anytime I enter a 16 digit number into a cell, it always changes the last digit to 0. Numbers can only be 15 digits long (no exceptions). You can however enter it
as text by placing an ' (apostrophe) before the number, or formatting the cell as text before entering the number. "Jordan" wrote: anytime I enter a 16 digit number into a cell, it always changes the last digit to 0. How do I stop Excel from doing that? It is driving my crazy! |
