Default How do I get rid of a "Page 1" background in an Excel document

I have a document that has "Page 1" in the background, kind of like a
watermark. I want to remove it and can't figure out how. Please help.

Your in Page Layout view. Try View/Normal.

Try this:
From the main menu:
ViewNormal
(it's probably set for page break view)

Does that help?
