How do I lock some fields but allow editing for others in excel
 

I am creating a form using excel at which certain fields of the form, editing
is prohibited. Users then wont be able to change the locked values. Editing
is allowed for other fields.

Under the format cells (ctrl "1"), then click the protection tab. You can
lock or unlock the cell. This is activated afterwards by Tools / Protection
