Excel2003: Online help Customize Custom Hdr/FTR Drop down List
 

Since it appears that text can not be pasted into a Custom Footer or Header,
the next action would be to edit the drop down lists for a Custom Header/
Footer. No online help is available to provide assistance on how the current
list is created or edited.
