Default Colors in the Spreadsheet

I have a Sony notebook, and when I use Excel I cannot see the colors on the
screen. They are there, however, and they print out fine and I can see them
in print preview, just not when I am working in the sheet itself.

How do I get the screen to display the colors while I am working in the
spreadsheet?

Thank you!!!
