Yet another answer. Use this formula (same end result as Dave O's formula; a
number excel can interpret as date and time) =VALUE(TEXT(B1,"####-##-## ##\:##\:##"))-VALUE(TEXT(A1,"####-##-## ##\:##\:##")) and format the cell as [s] to show only seconds.
