How do I tie prices to a drop down list of products in excel?

How do I tie prices to a drop down list of products in excel? I have a column
of products that I turned into a drop down box and I have a column of prices
that I want to fill in when I select an item from the drop down list.

Assuming that the prices are precede by the product in the form of a lookup
table, you can use VLOOKUP

=VLOOKUP(A1,$M$1:$N$20,2,False)

where A1 is the DV cell, M1:N20 is the lookup table

You can use a Lookup table and VLOOKUP formula.

Assumptions.........

You have products in A1:A12

You have prices in B1:B12

In C1 you have your DV drop-down with the products list.

In D1 enter =VLOOKUP(C1,A1:B12,2,FALSE)
