Pivot Table Grayed Out
 

I have a spreadsheet of data that I want to use a pivot table with. However,
excel won't let me; when I go to the menu it is grayed out. The pivot table
still works in other windows, but not this one. I can't figure it out. Any
thoughts?

If the worksheet is protected, or the workbook is shared, you won't be
able to create a pivot table.
