combine worksheets and populate fields
I have two spreadsheets. The first sheet (May) has a list of people's names, social #, and phone numbers (aprox 9000 rows). The second sheet (June) has the same information but also has multiple entries for the same person (aprox 19000 rows). For example: May has ~ Jane Doe, 444-55-6666, (555) 666-1111 June has ~ Jane Doe, 444-555-6666, ? Jane Doe, ?, (222) 333-4444 Jane Doe, 444-55-6666, (555) 666-1111 I need to use the information from May's spreadsheet, and populate the data onto June's spreadsheet. Is there anyway to combine the worksheets and say: If person's name contains Jane Doe, then make phone number (555) 666-1111 and make social 444-55-6666? Can someone please help! As of right now, I have to do all this manually!!!! -- punkincmg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ punkincmg's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29215 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=489422 |
