trying to find out what application is recommended for online queries (?) in
processing investment spreadsheet currently in use (currently at ~10MBytes).
Can teach self programming / SQL.. but guesse choices: excel, access, sql

Is there an app recommended for ease of use in accessing online data, or
more efficient use for data.
Think might be good to know before spend time researching the likes of: web
queries, dde, dll?, vlookups, match? index?, etc..

Concerned with 80% intraday / non-dynamic: price, volume, mcap, lo & hi for
given periods; more extensive?: 5 or 10 day move average, beta;
Occasional dyanamic: price, volume, market cap. thanks
