Date Filter
I have sales data for '05, listed by Customer in random order. Several customers have entries for '04 as well. I can sort by customer to make the list alphabetical. How do I filter the list to eliminate the '04 data? -- tech lead ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tech lead's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=28862 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=486133 |
Date Filter
What are the formats of the 05 and 04, are they real dates like
01/01/05 etc? You can use either datafilterautofilter and use custom and greater than 12/31/04 then select the list, press F5, special and visible cells and copy somewhere else if you need a list without the 2004 dates or you can do that in one fell swoop using datafilteradvanced filter, then create the criteria, in let's say H1 type the name of the header and in H2 type 12/31/04 Select the whole list with headers and all, do datafilteradvanced filter, copy to another location (click in a cell where you want the list, in the criteria range select H1:H2 with the mouse and click OK -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom (No private emails please) "tech lead" wrote in message ...
