Pivot Table Chart
Morning I have a Pivot Table with "Year&Month" as my columns, "Product" as my rows and data within the table is "Total Sales". When I use the auto chart function I get "Total Sales" as my X Axis, "Product" as my Y and then "Year&Month" as my data series. However what I really want is for "Product" to be the data series and "Year&Month" to be my Y. If I move the chart options to look like this it changes the pivot table accordingly but as I have more than 256 products this causes excel to have a hissy fit. Is there any where in the options where I can change how I want the data to be laid out within the chart, without affecting the pivot table? Pivot Table Chart
Tried your case in a simple workbook. Switching ITEM and YEARS in
Pivot Rows and Columns produces changes to the chart. This is a simple move in a Pivot Table Layout. However YEARS become X and not Y as you mention. Try how it works for you. -- Tomek Polak, http://vba.blog.onet.pl |

Pivot Table Chart
Just thought I'd mention this before someone suggests it. I've had another look through the excel help and I've come accross the idea to use a staic table from copied and pasted values from the pivot tabel. This however does not produce enough detail in the axis of the graph. Any one, any Ideas? graham -- el_grimley ------------------------------------------------------------------------ el_grimley's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25924 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=485809 |
