run time error 1004
 

I have recorded macros in excel 2003 on a networked xp pro pc using networked
printers.the printers show in the macro as "printer name" on Ne01,or Ne02 ect.
When the debug is entered the Ne01 or 02 part is highlighted.The Ne number
has changed for some reason.I record a dummy macro using all printers just to
obtain the new Ne numbers,then have to go in and amend the exisisting
macros.Its sending me mad.does any one know why the mumbers change or an easy
wau of obtaining the revised number.All macros worked perfect in excel 97 on
win 98.The server with printers on is NT.the error shown is runtime error
1004,Method activeprinter of object_application failed.Thanks very much
