Data Validation
 

Is it possible to have a data validation list so that when you select an
entry from the list it custom filters your main spreadsheet to only see
certain data.
The spreadsheet I use is extremely large and is time consuming to keep
custom filtering the data. It would be easier to select from a validation
list and have some code that filters it...

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but maybe one of the sample files
here will help you get started:

Under Filters, look for 'Product List by Category', or 'Product List by
Week Number'
